Things to Do in Milton

The Neponset River, which flows from the Massachusetts Bay, borders Milton to the north and provides residents with scenic water views and water recreation. Hike, bike, walk, and more at natural spots like Houghton's Pong and Turners Pond. Blue Hills Reservation is another natural attraction that gives residents a chance to get outside. Year-round, Blue Hills Reservation is a great spot for hiking, biking, and more.
 
A popular point of interest is the Blue Hill Meteorological Observatory, the oldest continually-operated weather observatory in the United States. The Forbes Museum is a historical mansion with views of the Boston skyline that celebrates the history of an American, entrepreneurial family. Milton also has a variety of seasonal events that bring residents and out-of-town visitors together. Celebrate Milton is a yearly event held yearly and celebrates and promotes the diversity of Milton. Throughout the summer is the Milton Parks and Recreation Summer Concert Series is held. Held at the Baron Hugo Gazebo on the Town Green at Town Hall, these concerts celebrate the town and local artists starting at 6:00 pm on Wednesdays.
