Braintree is a Greater Boston suburb and is known for its great schools. Located in Norfolk County, Braintree is neighbored by Quincy, Randolph, Holbrook, and Weymouth. The town has a rich history dating back to its settlement in 1625. It is known as the birthplace of many great Americans, including John Adams, John Quincy Adams, and John Hancock.
 
With access to the MBTA Red Line, it is about a 30-minute train commute to Boston. This makes for an easy commute, whether it is for work, a night out, or a weekend visit. Route I-93 and Route 3 run through the town, which also makes for a quick trip out to the Cape.
 
 
There are many parks in Braintree for residents to enjoy throughout the year. Blue Hills Reservation is a green getaway spanning over 7,000 acres. It is only minutes from Boston, and many of the city dwellers escape to the reservation to take in its natural splendor. Braintree stretches across Quincy, Milton, Randolph, and other surrounding Greater Boston towns. The other parks in Braintree are Hollingsworth Park and Pond Meadow Park. Other natural attractions include Sunset Lake and the Monatiquot River. Sunset Lake is a popular spot for swimmers, kayaking, fishing, as well as relaxing.
 
Braintree High School was rated among the top 500 schools in the United States by Newsweek. With both public and private institutions, Braintree offers its residents top education options.
